CMS is delighted to announce its next sponsored event in which the Society will be enabling three exceptional piano students of Chichester University to take part in a masterclass and concert with the internationally acclaimed pianist, Martino Tirimo.
Regarded by both critics and fellow artists as one of today’s most distinguished musicians, Martino Tirimo has performed at the University as solo pianist and with the internationally renowned Rosamunde Trio.
The masterclass will be followed by a public recital in the evening. Each student will play a solo piece at the evening concert with one of them joining Martino in a piano duet in the second half. The programme will include music by Beethoven, Schubert and Chopin and conclude with a solo performance of Schubert’s Drei Klavierstücke D946 played by Martino Tirimo.
The Masterclass will take place on 5 February 2025 in The University Chapel between 2pm and 5pm and is open (without charge) to students and members of the public. The concert will take place in The University Cloisters at 7.30pm, for which tickets to the public are £15.
