The Portsmouth Menuhin Room is putting on a charity event in support of Music Fusion

On Saturday 11 October at 11 am the Menuhin Room Piano Plus Circle – an informal group of local pianists and other instrumentalists of all standards who meet regularly to develop their performance skills – will be putting on an annual charity recital.

Each year they nominate a charity and raise funds by means of a retiring collection at the end of this event.

This year our musicians are raising funds for Music Fusion. This is charity is based in Havant and seeks to support young people by engaging them in creative music projects. More information about Music Fusion can be found at their website: Music Fusion – more than just a music charity

This is a free concert featuring several local pianists and other instrumentalists and the programme is a best described as a “classical variety”. There will be music by Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schumann, Mendelssohn and more…

Unlike our usual recitals, this concert will consist of two halves with an interval and starts at the earlier time of 11am.

I do hope that you will be able to come along and support both our local musicians and the charity which they have nominated.
