Chichester Music Society (CMS), formerly Funtington Music Group, meets in the evening and usually on the second Tuesday of the month. Society events take place in the Chapel (Cloisters in winter months) of the University of Chichester on the Bishop Otter Campus, not far from the centre of the City of Chichester.
The Society’s annual musical programme is full of variety and includes concert appearances by well-known artists and ensembles, illustrated lecture-recitals and guest appearances by international celebrities.
CMS has developed a most enjoyable and mutually rewarding relationship with the University and is grateful for the support it receives both from the Vice-Chancellor and the Head of Music, Ben Hall. In return, the Society provides the concert opportunity and the prizes for the popular Annual Student Showcase Concert, as well as bursaries for deserving students and the provision of a musical instrument library.
